We have definitely been working together, with lots of e-mails back and forth. I explained to them what was wrong with Substrate on boot, and they mostly fixed it; what was still not working I ended up sending them a patch to fix (after asking them for the source code to that tiny part of the untether). We have Substrate working really well now, as far as I can tell.

I have been working on the passcode issues (which were somewhat deeper than just "stashing", as tons of important files in /var were also ending up with the wrong data protection class) and have now finished fixing that (in a way that should upgrade anyone already using Cydia to a state where a passcode should be safe again just by installing the new Cydia package).

There are, however, a couple more key issues I need to fix in Cydia (such as the user's language setting being ignored). There are also some other unrelated issues in the untether that I forwarded to Pangu on behalf of some extension developers, which they have already fixed (but now need to be tested). I don't know much about the problems Pangu is working on.

Few hours back, Pangu Team had released the Pangu 8.0-8.1.x Untether jailbreak update to fix the Cydia Substrate loading issue after a reboot, iMessage picture sending issue and Safari crashes.

The update was initially available via both the Pangu app (that was installed at the time of the jailbreak) and Cydia. However, saurik removed the package from Cydia after users reported issues booting their devices after installing the untether update.

It looks like the Pangu 8.0-8.1.x Untether jailbreak is available again on Cydia. Saurik had also released an update for the Cydia Substrate (previously called Mobile Substrate) to fix the Cydia loading issue after a reboot, alongside the untether update.
Here’s the release notes of Pangu 8.0-8.1.x Untether jailbreak:

Version 0.2 of this package fixes an issue that caused Cydia Substrate to not fully load into many processes immediately after rebooting. After installing this untether update, you no longer need to respring after rebooting to make Cydia Substrate work.

This update also solves the Safari and iMessage bugs that some users reported. (For developers: the issue with RWX pages was also fixed.)

As this update makes Substrate work more consistently, installing this update exposed bugs in Substrate 0.9.5013 for many users. It is important to also use the latest versions of Substrate (at least version 0.9.5014) with this new untether.

And here’s the release notes of Cydia Substrate 0.9.5014:

Cydia Substrate 0.9.5014 fixes a few bugs reported on iOS 8 with 0.9.5013, including “apps do not install”, “iTunes does not sync”, and “icons are gone”.

This issue sometimes led to devices being unable to boot without disabling Substrate (holding down volume up).

(and 0.9.5015 fixes a bug in 0.9.5014 where some processes, including OpenSSH, would no longer start.)

saurik also goes on to clarify that untether update along the Cydia Substrate update should fix the issue that caused Substrate to not fully load into many processes immediately after rebooting.

If you’ve updated the Pangu 8.0-8.1 untether to version 0.2, you no longer need to respring after rebooting; this untether update fixes an issue that caused Substrate to not fully load into many processes immediately after rebooting. This untether update also means that disabling Substrate while booting (by holding the volume up button) should work consistently now.

Important:
Pangu Team has also advised users to disable passcode and Touch ID before installing the update as it requires a reboot, and could issues while rebooting.

Updating this package requires a reboot; please note that rebooting can surface problems unrelated to the untether or Cydia Substrate. If you’ve set a passcode/TouchID, rebooting may cause your device to freeze: please disable passcodes/TouchID until further notice (sorry :/). Having incompatible tweaks installed can also cause problems upon rebooting.

So you may want to first disable passcode/Touch ID, followed by installing the update for the Cydia Substrate, and then the Pangu 8.0-8.1.x Untether 0.2 update from Cydia.

It is also important to note that Pangu Team have released the jailbreak primarily for developers so Cydia developers can update their tweaks and apps for iOS 8 – iOS 8.1, so one shouldn’t expect things to work flawlessly. It may still be prudent to hold off jailbreaking your device until issues at the time of reboot when you’ve passcode/Touch ID enabled are resolved.

The Pangu Team is working on a fix to resolve the booting issue that is affecting users that have passcode enabled, and also working with saurik to include Cydia in the Pangu jailbreak so it is pre-installed when users jailbreak your device on iOS 8 – iOS 8.1.

Pangu že ima podporo Cydie! Pravkar jailbreak naredil!

Potrebno se je izpisati iz iClouda in odstrani passcode lock/fingerprint potem pa z programom pangu 1.0.1 namestiš jailbreak na telefon. Nekajkrat se vmes zažene nato pa samo v programu pangu(ios) klikneš install cydia in se namesti:) imam pa vprašanje... če npr. crkne home tipka na servisu kaj komplicirajo, če imaš nameščen jailbreak? Hvala za odgovor že vnaprej.

JB je trenutno se brezveze dajat gor ker ne dela nič oz bore malo, probal na 4ki pri zadnji verziji lahko že cydio normalno instaliras. Očitno bo treba se čakat

Prau kar sem si JB iphone 4S in Iphone 6 in sem nato zbrisal dol in restoral nazaj na ios 8.1 normal

-4S ima sedaj problem da se baterija prazni zelo hitro in mace šteka
-Iphone 6 pa ne deluje več tako tekoče kot je pred JB

kakšna pomoč prosim ? :(

sicer imam probleme da iphone 4S se mi ne polni tak kot more in baterija se takoj izprazni
iphone 6 pa malce šteka po JB
